Join us for Illini Days

Inspired. Involved. Committed.

Celebrating the Legacy of Bruce D. Nesbitt

Please join us for a reception with our new Chancellor, Dr. Robert Jones, to officially kick-off the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center (BNAACC) Building Project and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Office of Minority Student Affairs (OMSA).

This special evening will provide opportunities to highlight ways in which we can collaborate with our African American Alumni, specifically in the Chicago area, through increased engagement.

We hope that the legacy of Bruce Nesbitt, who inspired generations through his deep commitment and vast community involvement, will serve as a foundation for making a positive difference in the lives of our students today and in coming years.
